WHAT'S HAPPENING DOWNTOWN THIS MONTH:  

May 2013

May 3 - Mooresville Artist Guild |  Exclusive American Watercolor Society’s 146th Annual Travel exhibit preview evening.  This will be held as a fundraising event for SCAN.  Tickets for the event are $25. More American Watercolor Society events throughout May visit www.magart.org for details.

May 4 - Downtown Mooresville Cruise-In  |  Downtown Mooresville will shine with chrome and glitter with sparkling paint during the monthly Cruise-In.  It’s a great chance to show off your car and chat with other car enthusiasts, surrounded by the architecturally historic backdrop of Downtown Mooresville. This event is held the first Saturday of the month from 4-8pm on Broad Street in Downtown Mooresville. Free.  

May 4 & 11- Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market  |  All New Market!  All New Vendors! The Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market will be held every Saturday from 8am until Noon.  Located in the parking lot at the corner of Church Street and East Iredell Ave (across from the MSI Chamber). If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact Chef Eric Greenwell of Black Velvet Patisserie at 704-662-0272.

May 9 -  Business After Hours | Homesley & Wingo Law Group.  Featuring an assortment of beverages as well as food from Jeffrey’s and music from ThatGuySmitty. 5-7pm - all are welcome.

May 17 -  Live in the '115 | the Second Rockin' Year of our Outdoor Music Series, 5:30-9:30pmFeaturing Ranford Almond from 5:30-7:00 and Rusty Knox Band from 7:30-9:30.  Live in the '115 is a celebration of local music that take place monthly through October. Live music in John Franklin Moore Park (corner of Main St. & Center Ave) so plan to join us under the stars for an evening of awesome music.  No coolers or alcoholic beverages allowed.  Music organized by Big Hat Larry's Guitars, Music & more. 

 

May 17 -  Mooresville Ice Cream | One year celebration and grand Re-Opening, 4pm to close.
Live entertainment from LNHS’s Wildcat Vocal Symphony ~ Ice Cream Eating Competition ~ raffles ~ special menu items & more!

May 18 – Race City Festival  |  An outdoor street fair along Main & Broad Streets. Be sure to bring your family, friends and neighbors!! There is something for all ages with plenty of eats and things to do including; two live music stages, vendors, kids activities and a beer garden from  Noon to 5pm.  For information and details please contact the MSI Chamber of Commerce at 704-664-3898.  9am-5pm Free. 

Please note - there will be no Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market held on May 18 due to Race City Festival.

May 25 - Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market  |  All New Market!  All New Vendors! Every Saturday at Richard's Coffee Shop & Veterans Museum from 9am-Noon Community Music Jam at, 165 N. Main Street.

Every first and third Saturday visit the Mooresville Museum from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  View exhibits and artifacts from Mooresville's past and present. 132 E. Center Avenue.

The 2nd Friday of every month, The Mooresville Artist Guild hosts an artist reception. 6-8pm at 103 W. Center Avenue.  Visit www.magart.org for more information.
