WHAT'S HAPPENING DOWNTOWN THIS MONTH:  

October 2014

 

October 3 - Music on Main | The Catalinas. Enjoy the last Music on Main of the season with this popular beach variety band. Bring your blankets or chairs to enjoy this FREE concert with your friends and family - Town Hall lawn at 413 N. Main Street 6:30-9:30. Brought to you by the Town of Mooresville.

 October 4 - Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market | The Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market will be held every Saturday from 8am until Noon and features local produce, handmade baskets, fresh breads, organic meats and dairy products & more!

Located in the parking lot at the corner of Church Street and East Iredell Ave (across from the MSI Chamber).

 October 4- Downtown Mooresville Cruise-In | Downtown Mooresville will shine with chrome and glitter with sparkling paint during the monthly Cruise-In. It’s a great chance to show off your car and chat with other car enthusiasts, surrounded by the architecturally historic backdrop of Downtown Mooresville. This will be the last Downtown Mooresville Cruise-In of the 2014 season and is from 4-8pm on Broad Street in Downtown Mooresville. Free.

 October 10 - Mooresville Artist Guild | Mooresville Arts will be holding a reception from 6:00 pm- 8:00pm for their 32nd Annual Artoberfest in conjunction with the 3rd annual Trackside Pottery Festival. Refreshments will be available as well as entertainment provided by Opera Carolina. 103 W. Center Avenue. Visit www.magart.org for details

 October 11 - Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market | The Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market will be held every Saturday from 8am until Noon and features local produce, handmade baskets, fresh breads, organic meats and dairy products & more!

Located in the parking lot at the corner of Church Street and East Iredell Ave (across from the MSI Chamber).

 October 11 - Festival of Food Trucks | Gourmet Fare (from a bunch of trucks). North Main Street (between Moore Ave & Iredell Ave) from 4-8pm. Main Street from Moore Ave to Iredell Ave will be closed for the event so bring a chair, hang out in the street and stay a while so you can check out these awesome Food Trucks from around the area, taste some gourmet fare, listen to some music, stroll the streets & shop - all Happening in Downtown Mooresville.

 October 17 - Live in the '115 | the Third Rockin' Year of our Outdoor Music Series. Live in the '115 is all about celebrating local music, hanging out with friends or meeting new ones - all right in the heart of town.

Kicking off at 5:30pm with Sojourn of Sparrows and then from 7:30-9:30 Duk Tan will wrap up the evening. John Franklin Moore Park (corner of Main St. & Center Ave). Music organized by Big Hat Larry's Guitars, Music & more. This is the last LIVE in the '115 concert of the 2014 season.

 October 18 - Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market | The Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market will be held every Saturday from 8am until Noon and features local produce, handmade baskets, fresh breads, organic meats and dairy products & more!

Located in the parking lot at the corner of Church Street and East Iredell Ave (across from the MSI Chamber).

 October 23 - MSI Chamber Business Expo | Visit hundreds of businesses all within the comforts of the Charles Mack Citizens Center at 215 N. Main Street. Free and open to the public from 11am - 5pm. Chamber members are also encouraged to attend the After Expo Business After Hours from 5-7pm.

 October 25 - Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market | The Downtown Mooresville Farmer's Market will be held every Saturday from 8am until Noon and features local produce, handmade baskets, fresh breads, organic meats and dairy products & more! This is the last Market of the 2014 Season

Located in the parking lot at the corner of Church Street and East Iredell Ave (across from the MSI Chamber).

 October 26 - "I Do", Downtown | Downtown Mooresville where you can take care of all your wedding needs in one place. Visit 15+ businesses open to see how our locally owned businesses can provide you with extra attention and just what you need to plan your special day. From 12:30-4:30 with a special prize basket drawing at Epic Chophouse at 5pm. In conjunction with the Southern Flair Bridal Affair taking place at the Charles Mack Citizens Center.

 October 26 - Southern Flair Bridal Affair | Charles Mack Citizens Center from 1-4pm at 215 N. Main Street. Brought to you by the Town of Mooresville.

 October 31 - Downtown Mooresville Trick or Treat | Crazy number of kids, having a great time in Downtown Mooresville. Businesses hand out candy, dress up & have fun in the heart of Mooresville! The event runs from

3-5pm but thousands of pieces of candy will be handed out and the event will end promptly at 5pm - don't be late!

 Every Saturday at Richard's Coffee Shop & Veterans Museum from 9am-Noon Community Music Jam at, 165 N. Main Street.

 The Mooresville Museum at 132 E. Center Avenue is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am until 2 pm, Wednesdays from 4pm until 7:30pm and from 10am until 2pm the first and third Saturdays of each month.
